お茶屋 Ochaya (Study)

This is an original study for the second artwork in a series called ApeGeisha. In a fictional future Japan evolved cognizant apes that practice the art of reading tea leaves and other forms of divination. In this scene two geisha use a unique augury that interprets of the fight patterns of a rooster and a fish to foreseeing the future for a Samurai client. The dimensions of this artwork are 17.5" X 20" inches and it is gouache water color and ink on paper.
